POCT Molecular Diagnostics
POCT Molecular System for Tuberculosis (TB), Drug Resistance and Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM)
Overview:
Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It spreads through airborne droplets when infected individuals cough, sneeze, or speak. In crowded environments such as families, schools, and workplaces, delayed diagnosis can lead to cluster outbreaks and serious public health risks.
In addition, Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) infections are increasing globally and require accurate differentiation from TB for proper treatment. The growing problem of drug-resistant TB further increases the need for rapid and reliable molecular diagnostics.
RocGene iFIND Molecular Testing Platform:
The iFIND POCT Molecular System uses advanced:
- Fluorescence quantitative PCR (qPCR)
- Fluorescent probe melting curve technology
to provide fast, accurate, and simultaneous detection of:
- Tuberculosis (TB)
- Drug resistance markers
- Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM)
Available Assays?
1. iFIND TBR Assay (TB + Rifampicin Resistance)
- Detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC)
- Targets: IS6110 and IS1087
- Rifampicin resistance detection
- Target: rpoB gene (81 bp RRDR region)
👉 Supports early TB diagnosis and rapid identification of rifampicin-resistant cases
2. iFIND MDR Assay (Extended Drug Resistance)
- Isoniazid resistance detection
- Targets: katG and inhA genes
- Fluoroquinolone resistance detection
- Target: gyrA gene
👉 Enables identification of multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) and supports optimized treatment decisions
